In its original version, Alla ricerca di Dante (“Looking for Dante”) is a musical narration for actor, baritone and orchestra, telling the story of Dante Alighieri’s last night. It premiered at the celebrations for the 750th anniversary of the poet’s birth in Florence in 2015 and since then has been performed in Ravenna, Istanbul, Rome, Milan.
This video is a minimalist, deconstructed version of it. It needs your active participation to come to life.
Immerse yourself in the beautiful music and lyrics.
Imagine the poet in his room, on his last night. His life flashes before his eyes… Dante’s journey is our journey. His loves, so like ours. His fights, friends, delusions… our drama.
He’s just like us – one of us.
Thank you, and enjoy.
